I can't believe it! They're discontinuing the Electra teles, including all the slimline semi-acoustics! I didn't realize- this appeared in the SLM ad flyer that just showed in the mail today!

Wait- never mind. I just realized the sale prices ended July 31, 1977.

Heh, well at least this establishes for sure these models only went through 76.

In the pile of stuff Tom gave me I think there are some of the SLM in-house news magazines. Guess I should go through them, eh?

Yes you should... the clip art drawings in there are worth it alone...

There's also t-shirts, including an Electra t-shirt- if the picture weren't so tiny & blurry It would be cool to repro that shirt...

no 2253w listed there I see... I think mine is indeed a 76 however since I took the neck off and it says 76 plain as day :-?

If enough people were interested, I would be willing to have a batch of Electra shirts screened. The place that I use has a 25-shirt minimum, so that would be quite a few. Do we have 25 Electra fans here? I'd be happy to sell them as a not-for-profit venture, cost plus shipping. Would that be a trademark violation at this point?

I'd like to see the original shirts first, but it might be easier to get a crisp logo from an old brochure or hangtag.
