Wow nice!

And that's your really cool short scale Teisco bass conversion lurking in the rear too... what a cool buncha axes! congratulations!

Maybe it's time we updated the Vistor's Axes section, these deserve a spot, I'd think.

Good work, nice touch with the dome knobs. Where'd you source them?

Keep it up,

je

Got the knobs from JCGuitars on the Bay of E....

I was playing around last night with some different modules, and I like the Phase Shifter, Treble and Bass Expander the best of the 4 I have.

The Compressor one was okay, and the Octave Box one I have was junk. not sure if it's a bad module or what..... I need to go out and listen to the samples again....

with the Phase shifter module, The compressor, and the out of phase setting on the 5 way, I was able to get a very Halloween type sound :)

I've got an old Rocktave Divider pedal (I think it was a kit), we call it the "Gurgle Box". It has a very hard time tracking anything but single-note runs in the low to mid range of a guitar. Funky, but chic. Sounds like the intro to Van Halen's "One Foot Out The Door".

On your Octave Box, try cleaning the contacts with a pencil eraser, as shown on the Electra site. I got a Tank Tone module a few weeks ago and it didn't work until the third time I cleaned it, but now it works like a charm. The contacts can be nonconductive even if they don't look corroded.

The Tank Tone module is pretty weak, but the Octave Box should be cool, especially on a bass. Good luck getting it working!

the octave box has the adjuster on it, and the knob is gone, but it can still be adjusted with a small screwdriver on the board. I believe that component is bad, as it freely spins, and I think it was supposed to stop at a max point in both directions????

Under normal circumstances I would agree. Unfortunately the Visitor's Axes section will be coming down in the near future I'm sorry to say. I am looking into things to replace it. It had become more work than I had expected, and there was no way to keep up with it. I've had several offers for help but the help insisted on using editors that were not compatible with the software I use.

Please, keep images below 580 pixels in either direction. Anything larger distorts the intended format of the forums. I realize this may be somewhat restrictive, but my reasons are valid.

To insure most of my efforts are directed towards documenting and making the collected information available some luxuries and features such as the Visitor's Axes and BBCode (img and url tags) may need to be trimmed, changed, or eliminated altogether. This shifts the time I must spend on less productive, non essential, or unnecessary activities such as home page creation and moderation back towards documenting the guitars and making that information freely available.
