Woaah! you should be called Mr Spectrum, cheers for the details, after reading your post I realised my fellow band member's guitar had 2 Humbuckers which made it a Westone Spectrum DX.

Wonderful! So it looks like the MX and GT are very similar to SX and LX, really, yes? Have you seen a Westone with only one pickup? I have seen pictures only, so it may have been a neck swap... but that's one model I have yet tto track down.

It definately had and an X in the name designation, and it was the 1st locking nut I had seen on a guitar.

I think the MX is a budget version of the SX - much the same guitar but without the fine tuners/locking nut/phase switch. It's fine without them, gives a very good range of sounds and the trem on mine never goes out of tune.

I've seen 2 Westones with only one pickup, the Clipper Six (Strictly speaking 2 pickups, but it looks like a single humbucker) and the X125. The X125, judging by the shape and the model number, looks like it should really have been one of the Electra Phoenix series. I've seen a couple of X125s on Ebay, they usually go for about $60-70. Personal opinion - quite well made but extremely limited guitar, no matter what you do you can only get one sound out of it.

Hm, I had an X125 and I was surprised at the range of tones, especially with the coil tap switch. But yes, after H-S-H, it's hard to settle for less.

So if there was a Westone version of the X125, what did it say on the headstock? Just Westone? Spectrum?

'Westone X125' - no coil tap on this one, just a bridge humbucker, a volume control and a Fender style trem

Wow! I'd love to see pics of that headstock- that'll be the only (to my knowledge) X-number that appears on the front of an Electra/Westone headstock. Cool!
