Finally, some pics of my Electra Outlaw.

see page:
Tijns Outlaw

(I hope this works, I'm not sure)

I had it set up properly and it is now my best intonated guitar - it also plays really easy. With the new tuners it also stays in tune for days.
Great.

And I had the pots replaced with 250k pots (thanks for the tip!) - the sound is still somewhat on the dark side but I can correct this with my amps equalising. Also I had a coiltap added, so now I have single coil sounds in addition to the five sounds that come standard. Especially the two single coils in series sound very nice, somewhat like a strat but beefier. And the standard series/out of phase setting sounds very classy. Every time I hear it on a recording, it stands out, such a nice transparent and polished sound.

In short: what a guitar!

(Heavy, though.)

I figured this thread has a better home in this forum. :)

250K pots on either volume or tone in a humbucker equipped guitar will actually roll off a touch of the highs. Going to a higher value from the stock 500K pots such as 1Meg will brighten things up a bit.

The stock tone and vol pots on many MPC's are actually 50K (four out of five of mine). I believe he put 250Ks in place of these so his sound is brighter but still a little dark compared to 500K's

Ahhh, okay. I did not pay close attention to the pots in the Leslie when I removed them. The two MPC pots were IIRC 50K but I did not pay close attention to the others since they were wired directly to the pickups and not the MPC circuitry.
