Some have been asking about the old Electra site, when it will come back online. When Electraman retired, he bequeathed the content and information of the old site to me, and I've promised to carry on the torch of making that information available. Coincidentally, I've been working on a site featuring the Electras & Westones of the 80's, so it made sense to give the Electras of the 70's their own area, and use a similar format for both.

So here, for your examination, is an alpha version of of what a page of the new Electra site will look like. I'd appreciate your feedback, especially about any page errors or display problems. When reporting bugs, please let me know what browser version & OS you're running- also screen size.

(note: the links are currently inactive, so no need to tell me about those- and yes, it's just one page for now.)

Once I get the first detail page working correctly, it'll be easier to build the rest of the pages, including list by model and ID guide. Let me know if you have any ideas, or if there's any additional info that ougth to be included. I will be adding catalog scans for sure, but haven't done that yet.

thanks, and the real credit goes to all the people who contributed content.

it's going to be an independant site, just covering Electras- one wing of the museum is for the 70's, which is what that page is for, with a substantial subwing for MPCs. Another wing will be the 80's, the SLM Electra Westones which are my main focus. Right now I jsut want to get the model detail pages up and running, but after that I have a bunch more in mind, pages examining components in detail- how pickups changed over the years, that kind of thing.

But that's a ways off. Right now I just hope to find any bugs in this page before I clone it to make the rest of them.

Looks very good X189! Only thing wrong I found was a typo:
"tele style singe coil neck pickup"
should have read "bridge" which you do say later on in the page.

Keep up the good work! 8)

Good luck on your new project Xman.
The more the merrier.

I like the template.
That Tele plank sure ain't made out of no cheap laminated fiberboard.
Like I found out the MIJ Strat is made of that I installed a humbucker into. :barf:
