I just picked this up on eBay for $79 + shipping...

It needs some loving, and although you will see that the shipping job was not quite up to par, the problems do appear to be "older".

the gunk on the body appears to be wax dripping of some sort...
the neck has a crack just near the top of the skunk stripe, but it's not a long one.

the necl has a slight curve at about the 5th fret, and the truss rod is broken possibly, as it rattles, and if I try and tighten it, it starts to lift the fingerboard up off the neck at the headstock end...

body is layered like plywood.

that font on the headstock is wacky!!!

looks liek the font on the early (72?) electra catalog.

What's the sticker at the base of the neck? looks liek stickers on other early electras that had the model number- possibly a foil sticker, see if you can make anythign out remaining on it.

on the back of the headstock is a s/n: 881110930

the sticker at the heel of the neck is partially missing:

but reads TL400R

it does not look like any of the numbers/letters are missing though...
