I have what I believe to be a 1982 x-935. It is a 60th anniversary of slm commemerative edition, so finding info and pics has been a dead end. It has a black fade top, brass nut, and neck through body. Great guitar. Any info and pics would be great. Thanks. I just found this forum and it seems cool.

Good spotting, I missed those pages before.

It looks more like the cherry sunburst in terms of construction. The headstock on mine has the traditional electra with the upsidedown peacesign thing at the top. The finish is transparent black and does not have the burst top. It is lighter in the middle, then fades to black at the edges. On the back of the headstock is the brass plate that has the 1922-1982 anniversary of slm info. Also has 0162 and x935. The backs of all the tuners also have the electra symbol. It may just be the photo, but the cherry burst seems to be a little different scale (the cherry may be a little longer), but its too hard to tell. Thanks for the info.
