Just wondering - is the only difference in these 2 guitars the pickups - magnaflux versus super magnaflux? Are all the other electronics the same?

There's also the color... is the X310 the only black MPC LP?

i've got a 330 and a 310. the 310 is in perfect shape, the 330 is beat-up. i only need one, so i'm deciding which to keep. to be honest, the beat up 330 sounds way better than the 310 - i'm assuming it's the pickups?

speaking of the pickups...


for the 330 - the bridge is a dimarzio pickup w/ 'duosound' written on the bottom in marker. i think that's supposed to mean 'dual sound', like the super distortions? the neck pickup is totally confusing. it just says 'pat. pend.' on the back and there's a stamp that says '1712a' on the back as well. I'm pretty sure it's original?

As to the 310, I don't know what the pickups say - I just set the guitar up and really don't want to rip it apart...but I guess I should to see if they say something different...

The catalog says that the 310 and the 320 models have Magnaflux pickups, while the 330, 340, 350, and Outlaws all had Super Magnaflux pickups. I'm wondering what's the difference between the 2 types? I know that the neck pickup on my 330 sounds KILLER, a really sweet tone, and I think it's an original Super Magnaflux...

The 310 pickups sound a bit weaker - maybe they're not as hot as the Super Magnaflux pickups?
