Yeah, what's up with that? Is it a refinish? THe back looks like the mahogany's not grain filled. And what's up with that neck?

I've got an Electra LP with that truss cover and headstock shape. I'd place it as a 76 or 77.

It probably plays great. And the price isn't that bad, despite the replaced pickups.

yeah, I saw that one too. a x-330 was my first electric guitar, and I love the cherry sunburst.... this refin just makes me sad......

Unfortunate home finish is a good call. 76/77 is right on too X-man. Neck looks sanded bare, refin and wearing off. I'd never pay that kind of coin for an abomination like that, but it's unique looking and probably a great player.

An X-330 was my first MPC. It probably *is* a great player, as other have mentioned, although I think the weird finish on the neck might turn me off. What bothers me is that he doesn't even mention the refin in the auction description. It's such an obvious issue that I can't imagine not being straight about it. Anyone who's looking for an MPC would probably know right away that something's fishy. Also, I would worry that he might also not be mentioning something like electronics not being wired correctly anymore, after the pickup change and the refin.

Not that it's any of my business, but I think he should relist it at a much lower price so someone with some skills can claim it and give it a proper (second!) refin. I'm not saying they all need to remain stock, but at least a decent amateur job. At the current price, most wouldn't want to put the money into it.

I went and looked at that dudes guitars. Real nice guy. I didn't see that one. Definetly a refin. He had about 20 guitars. About 6-7 were Electra's. He made a few offers, but I couldn't see paying 350 to 400 for any of them. MPC's did not have modules. That's just me though. I have enough guitars I can't see myself paying more than 250 for a guitar ever again. So more Electra's for the rest of you. I'll wait for the deals.

Yeah, it did't really seem like he was trying to pull a fast one, just didn't disclose as much as I would like. It probably plays like a winner!

It felt like it was a hopeful listing, just in case somebody was willing. I bet it is a really nice guitar- I have a really humble white LP of the same era and details, and it's great. The flame looks like it's nice wood, and if that were any number of other popular brands, it'd be worth that, so I give it up as an honest attempt.

It would be a REALLY cool project if you could get a good price, perfect for someone who wants to buy a bunch of Reranch nitro and do a custom LP finish.

My thoughts exactly X, I'd jump all over that sucker for $150.00 and slap some of Bill's nitro and McFadden's clearcoat on it!
