Bought 10-3-78, Serial # 11404 came with brass nut and brass block under the bridge. Chrome hdw, black humbuckers, black pick guard, 22 fret inlayed neck and something called an Electra Supercharger was installed about a month later. Whatever that is  The salesman said it was something new that would boost the out put of the guitar. :D and man he wasn't feeding me a line. I had to turn down my gain because it about blew me out of my apartment when I tried it out! Awesome  And he didn't charge me anything for it because he said that the item was now being installed in all the new Vulcans from the factory. Does anyone know anything about the Supercharger? I will post pictures of the guitar when I learn how :loon:

Yes! I have a factory original supercharger wiring kit, never been installed.

And the weird thing is, we can't figure out how it would work. Seems like it's just replacing the tone pot, but maybe there's something we don't know.

If you could post pictures of your wiring, I'll post pictures of the kit and we can reconstruct exactly what they did.

The Electra Supercharger kit was a replacement kit for the volume and tone pots, included with other internals - resistors / condensors?
I put one of these kits in my X340 around 1978 / 1979 or so; just remember that the wiring schematic was backwards, as the volume pot was off at 10 and all the way on at 0; I reversed the wiring contacts and it has been working fine ever since.
