All--about 12 years ago my brother-in-law gave me his guitar--an SLM Electra that I absolutely love. Unfortunately, I have never been able to identify the model of the guitar and would really appreciate any help you guys may be able to provide. My guitar looks a lot like the 2264N (has the 6-way selector switch down by the 4 control knobs and the 3-way toggle in standard Les Paul position), is an interesting white or ivory sunburst, but unlike the 2264N it is a double cut away (like the X250-290) and the same head as the 2264N (double E and the cover plate with the double e and SLM).

Any ideas??????????

I am in process of moving so I can't get pictures taken and uploaded, but I did find this on ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-Electra-Les ... dZViewItem

It looks exactly like this except for two things: 1) It is cutaway on the left side as well (not an exact Les Paul copy) and 2) the 5-way switch is different (tear shaped).

Any help? Any ideas? It is made in Japan with serial number 077838

Maybe a White Zephyr? They all varied considerably year by year, especially in the 75-77 transition period.

Does yours have the weird truss rod cover? That's a detail I've seen on 76's, and that plus the wave headstock makes me guess the one in the ebay listing is a 77.
