Hi all,

Just found this forum. I've been playing Electras since I got my first Invicta back in 7th grade (ca. 1981). It was my main gigging guitar for fifteen years, until I decided to retire it to studio use--mainly out of concern that it'd get damaged. I now own an X330 MPC, an X420 335, an X280 Workingman and what looks like a Super Rock with a fan headstock and a sunburst finish. And I've still got the original Invicta. It's the dark brown one, and I have been sorely tempted the last few weeks to buy a natural wood one as they've popped up on eBay, so I can have a "matching" pair. Alas, I can't spend money these days!

I've used all of these guitars onstage and in the studio, and frequently get compliments from engineers on the tone of the instruments. I'm sad to see the cost of these guitars shoot through the roof as they have (I used to be able to pick up used Electras for $85 in pawnshops, darn it all) but it's nice to see such a community of players who love these guitars as I do (probably more so).

So anyway, that's me, hello.
