Last X640 went for almost $350. Be interesting to see what this one does.

The Phoenix bass neck is pretty nice. slightly smaller than a Pbass, but not as tiny as a jazz. really comfy, then throw the actives in there

That would be me :) I actually bought 4 Electras over the past few weeks. Reliving my earlier days and having a lot of fun with them!! I had a mix up with the seller of the one above, my fault. I'm hoping he recieved my payment!!!

Does anyone know exactly what the controls are on this one??

I've owned several US made BC Rich basses but cannot figure out the controls on the active Electra. The first knob is master volume The middle knob has a detent. The bottom switch is pre-amp on/off. The other switches seem to be more like trebble and bass boost effects rather than phase/series or parallel. It certainly has an incredible range, even in passive mode. I'm thinking the third knob is bass cut/boost but I really can't tell :-? The 18V electronics are powerful to say the least!!

Here's my pics after new strings and setup.

I also picked this one up as well. It also needed a set up and I still need to shield the control cavity. It plays great!! As mentioned the necks on these are just fantastic!! I might put a Villex pickup it it.
