Phoenix, you mean?

I'm not sure what the closest match in a modern tuner would be, probably the only thing you need to know is the diameter of the hole.

The wiring varies, there were a lot of different models and pickup configurations, and you didn't mention yours, but in general there's a switch that is either a small toggle switch, or a pull-switch on one of the knobs (volume probably). You need a DPDT switch, the pull-switches are only avalable in DPDT, anyway. Stew-Mac has them, as well as guitarelectronics.com and a bunch of others.

As far as how to wire it, I'd need to know your model in order to help you with an exact wiring diagram, but in general there's a wire, usually red, that comes from each pickup- this is connected to the jumper wire between the coils on the humbucker, so when you connect this to ground it effectively shunts away one of the coils. BTW, the pickups on the Phoenix are remarkable in that you don't get a huge volume drop when you coiul cut like this- they are wound so that all the treble comes from one coil and all the bass from the other, and you're cutting out the bass coil- this is called 'unbalaced coils' and it's something nearly no modern pickup maker offers.

So anyway, you connect these red wires to the switch so that when it's thrown, they're connected to groundd. You don't want them connected together when it's off, so you connect one to each side of the DPDT switch and another lead of each side to ground.

That should get you there. Hopefully you checked 'notify me of replies to this topic' so you'll get notice of this reply. I'll PM you with my email, you can get in touch if you need to.
