I have un-covered my bass that I purchased over 30 years ago (mid-70's) and re-kindeled my interest in playing. Since I discovered this wonderful sight, I am trying to find out more information about my bass. Although the classic question is "how much is it worth", I'm more interested in information on the bass. I have looked through this forum and found nothing posted. Was this bass a "bust", a "gem" or something in-between? I'm a novice at best and would appreciate learning from other members. Thanks for taking time to read this post.

the 2261 Solid Sound Bass (EB-3 copy) looked to me to be one of the better EB-3 copies. General construction was a little better, and more "solid" ha ha...

They don't surface all that often really. One recently sold at one of my local shops for $200 I think. usually go for around the same on eBay.

If your bass has been sitting for 30 years, you may want to get new strings and a pro sertup. You would be supprised how much that can improve your playing.
