So I literally stumbled across this guitar setting up RSS feeds for local craigslist listings, and immediately scheduled a time to pick this guitar up. I knew nothing of these fine instruments until recently. I am truly amazed at the quality of the construction, and the beautiful vintage sound that comes from my X260. I was looking for a backup guitar to my G400 with seymour duncans and coil splitters, but I have instead found an equal, serving up the warm clean sounds that have gone missing since I switched to a distortion style pickup in my G400. I have definitely come to respect what these vintage Electras have to offer, and plan on seeking out an Omega series guitar, as well as some type of Electra bass. Could someone tell me how the 5-way selector works with two humbuckers? I am guessing it switches the pickups from series to parralell, but I'd definitely like to know for sure. Thanks in advance!

Congrats, here's your info on the 5 way. I recently got another electra with a 5 way. Pretty sweet. It wasn't installed, actually all the orig electronics were in a bag and when I put it back together I wired it backwards. Oops. Still sounds great just alittle confusing. Would have redone it but the switch started to fall apart. A good dose of super glue and all is well for know. My pal has a stunning Omega. Used to be his pops, nice guitar. Enjoy

Ahh... Thanks for the information on the toggle. Now I really want to get a hold of one! : ) I'll probably end up adding two more push/pull pots to my G400 for series/out of phase options as well. I noticed that Jimmy Page's Les Paul wiring diamgram is set up that way. 4 push/pull toggles - 2 for coil splitting and the other two for series and phasing.

I just got an Omen x230 - and I noticed what you were saying with the switch falling apart. Here is what I did to fix it: I noticed it has a small hole where a little screw type thing can be tightened or loosened to get a grip on the post of the toggle switch. I took my dremmel and made a similar sized little divet in the post making sure that it was set to '1' and was pointed opposite of that. I put the switch back on and tightened that little screw down in to the divet I created as well as I could with a small alan wrench. Bam! It toggles like new! I had to do a few other things to the guitar while I was at it, and plan to swap the .022 cap with a .045 - the 1 and 5 sectors sound fine at .022, but I really feel that 2,3, and 4 would benefit from a broader treble range.
