the usual SLM Jazz copies have the rectangular pups....

This is the early logo, so could be early SLM or PCM...

My Early PBass copy has the same logo, chrome truss rod cover, and pickup.....

I've only seen '73+ catalogs though....

Wow, that's gorgeous! Is that the original color, you think, or a faded white? I didn't know they came in anything but black and sunburst.

well, without seeing any older catalogs, it's hard to tell.... It doesn't have the expected PCM Markings, so I lean towards SLM....

I have the same pup in my pbass, and it sounds really good.
I had another pbass with the same pup and chrome TRC, and it was a Ventura branded one...

It's got me wondering what I can sell so that my wife won't kill me for buying another bass. I've already got 3, all of them inexpensive, nowhere near as many as most of the electra forum members I'm sure, but convincing my wife that a fourth one makes sense is quite a challenge

start by collecting cars, then switch to motorcycles, then by the time you switch to guitars they'll seem reasonable and inexpensive. OR buy a lot of sailboat magazines and start ordering plans for kit boats.
