Hey all!

Don't know if you've ever tried or ever wanted to try a octave-up fuzz effect but, if so, I can heartily recommend the Danelectro French Toast. The fuzz is AWESOME and the octave up is pretty awesome too, to taste. They are cheap ($30-$40) and made somewhat cheaply as well. Nothing a true-bypass box can't take care of.

Anyway, I am liking the the sound of the French Toast quite a bit.

What does this have to do with Electra? I'm playing the FT with my X-950. Sounds BOSS!!!

Cool! I've tried some Danelectro effects and found them to sound pretty good. The only problem is, I gather they are subject to dying- well, come to think of it, the Dano EQ I bought quit working. Not sure what went bad with it.

Hence the TBP box. Hopefully that will work for me. If not, maybe a re-house?

I've been really getting into Guyatone micro effect pedals. I like the small size, easier to fit on a smaller board, and they're really good guality, excellent usable sound for performing.

And here's a hot tip: the Guyatone Tremolo pedal is a secret tone weapon. Even when you turn the effect intensity all teh way down, there's this special compression quality that jsut nails the tube sound- and through a tube amp it brings out more of that singins tube tone. really excellent! A great way to shape your tone without distortion, if that's your thing (it's mine). A real sleeper for $75 (less used on ebay) http://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/ ... sku=155006

Guyatone's are sweet, true, but not especially cheap. Cheaper than boutique, but... They are definitely good effects, and tried and true. It all depends on which way you're going. I think there may be room for a "cheap effects" thread here...

My buddy has a french toast and loves it. Just to let you know it's a clone of a FOXX tone machine. I built a FTM and my DIY one and the Dano sound pretty much exactly the same. Get your James Gang on!! Have fun!

Yep they sound great. I've been wanting to get a tunamelt aka EH pulsar. Nice tremelo that switches between sine and square wave. For smooth or that sweet choppy tremolo. I have a few slapback echoes I modified to be nice fully functioning digital delays that will self oscillate and all that jazz, for 15 bucks mind you. You can't beat that price for a digital delay.

I have not tried those guyatone pedals, but I have been eye balling them. I'm looking for a nice phaser as the only one I have is my MPC. I like those Ibanez PH7's they have a switch for 4 and 8 pole really nice and rich phase.
