number on the back of the neck 3111174

The only other writing is " Made in japan " on the back.

If there is someone who could shed some light on this please let me know.

I'd bet it's an Electra Phoenix guitar or bass neck.

311 would mean 11/83. It's a long serial number but in november and december production numbers were highest, so it's in those months you see 7-digit serial numbers.

Or it could be something else, and the numbers don't mean that. He's right, we'd have to see it.
