Hello -
I own an electra Model 2252 Les Paul Copy and am looking for any leads on where to obtain replacement tuners. This guitar was my very first guitar and I'd like to get her up and running again. The tuners that are on the guitar are pretty worn and I'd like to keep it in tune better. I looked all over online and the closest thing I could find was on the stewmac site and they were called economy gear covered tuners. I'm not even sure these would work.

Pics of the tuners would help. If you can get tuners to fit without having to drill additional holes that would be good. I would find that more important than an exact style match but others woudl think differently. Check the bushing size too.

There are certainly more parts source options. I like to order from guitarfetish, either as an ebay seller or at his website (nice guy, guitar builder, quality stuff and good prices)

To my mind quality import tuners are appropriate for a vintage japanese guitar. However, you could also go with geniune Klusons or Gotohs or whatever you like. There are enough varieties that you should be able to get the matching style in hte right size.

he also has conversion bushings that allow using vintage style (small post) tuners with modern headstocks (large holes)
