I have a X510 Concert Professional. I changed the strings on it and noticed that the bridge is "floating". It didn't seem to have been glued or attached to the body in anyway. Is this the way it is supposed to be? I know the bridge moves.... if you move it, when the strings are on and messes with the intonation. Just curious.
Thanks!
Tom

Yep, like many archtops the bridge is not attached to the top.

You didn't ask, but an easy way to find the locaiton it should be (or close to it) is to measure the distance from the nut to the 12th fret, this should be the same as 12th fret to the bridge. Then you dial it in precisely by comparing the 12th fret harmonic to the fretted 12the fret note.

No problem! Do you have any pics, we'd love to see your guitar. There seem to be at least three color variants (antique sunburst, cherry sunburst, and burgundy), which is yours?
