I have a 2281 Elvin Bishop, love to play the thing. There are some issues with the the switch so i dont use it for gigs anymore. I got it used from someone around twenty years ago. I am curious what it is worth. Can anyone help?

Sure thing, normal pricing on ebay would be $400-$700. However, depending on the condition, occasionally they go for upwards of $700. Ebay has been very loopy lately in that I saw 2 beat up 335 style electras go for over $700, and a near pristine x420vs go for only $600.... I'm really kicking myself for not bidding =P. Either way, you have many other options if E-boink doesn't suit you. For example, I've always wanted a Elvin Bishop . Lol jk jk. If you have any other questions feel free to ask, hope this helps.

The switch should be a fairly easy fix. Replacements are available at stewmac among others and wiring diagrams are available at this site. Fix it; keep it; play it.
