I have an electra X690 but recently at a show i broke a string and one of the saddles fell out of the bridge. Im not opposed to buying a new bridge for it but i want to make sure I buy one that is compatible. Does anyone have a suggestions or perhaps the specs on those bridges?

will one of the tune o matics that they put on gibsons work?

thanks

The gibsons won't work as they are not metric. You need a metric bridge. You can get them all over the place however, you just need to get the right one!

This is a good one that I have used. I am thinking of offering bridges that will fit on the website along with instructions on how to install them. Many people wind up replacing the Tune-o-matics.

Get the one #1511

Replace both the bridge and the posts with the new ones. The new posts just screw on in the threaded bushing in the guitar. Then put the bridge on. It fits tight, but you want it to fit tight. This is actually better than the factory one.

Would you think it is a good idea to offer such things like this on our website? I have been considering it.

I think offering bridges and saddles would be great. I for one would be willing to pay a bit more to be sure to get one that fits. it would end up being more economical than buying and returning given shipping costs.
