There's a pretty nice X-350 Antique Sunburst on eBay currently:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Early-80s-Electra-M ... 286.c0.m14

Looks pretty clean, with only the 'buy it now' option, so it may not last long. Has some road rash but pretty reasonable price for the top of the line LP MPC model. Not mine, but it's got me curious. If someone ends up picking it up, tell us how she plays.

I really wish I had more money at times like these.

SOOOoo! which might be a better player? There is also a X930 Vulcan on ebay. (of which I am current high bidder) If you had to choose, which is the better guitar? the 350 or the 930?

thanks,
bill

They're both nice guitars... I would probably say the Vulcan is in better shape, is a rarer design, has that nice Original case, and at $100 less (currently...) would be the better 'buy'. As far as playability, that's impossible to tell from photos. I think the LP's tend to have chunkier necks, not familiar with the Vulcan neck profile, and who knows who has been playing with the string height/intonation and what shape the frets are in, etc. If you get the vulcan home, take some close up pictures and share with us how it plays! Cheers, Mike.

hi guys...

for what my two cents are worth, i have two x810s (a burst and a natural) and both of them have very slim necks... my x350, and x240 omega on the other hand are both LP style and they both have more traditional, chunkier necks... however, my elvin bishop, which is of the 335 style, has a neck much more in keeping with the electra LP types than the 810s... as JMM points out... the x810 necks are oddly slim and they are like nothing else in the electra line that i have come across... :-?

OOOH My Goodness! I just won the X930 on ebay for $355! I'll see if I can't get shipping to a reasonable rate. I'll post a few pix when it gets in!

WOW :hyper:
