Is this a Vulcan X950 on an album cover?

Absolutely cool!

Thanks,

the Larry Garner guitar?... looks to me like an early 77 elvin bishop... (post 76 because it has the stop tailpiece rather than the trapeze, and it appears to have the white plastic nut rather than the brass one that appeared late 77 or so)... looks like a clone of my own eb....

there is a discussion here on the board somewhere between me and somebody else about the build quality of the early vs late eb's... concensus has it that the later ones (as id'ed by the brasss nut) are a step down in quality from the early eb's... possibly due to different manufacturers... but this is all conjecture... as no side by side comparison was possible

did a little looking... he has an album jacket featuring his eb

http://www.amazon.com/Double-Dues-Larry-Garner/dp/B000001X0G/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1222730494&sr=1-4

not quite as easy to recognise as the electra on the james paterson jacket... but identifiable nonetheless

its nice to see artists who are justly proud of this brand to let it be seen and identified with them as evidenced by album jackets displaying these lovely guitars as opposed to just seeing people paid to endorse the guitar but only pose with it for the adverts...

 to paterson and garner for putting these guitars to honest work

Enjoyed the info on the blues man and their Electras. Also liked the blues town site. I see a lot of the Elvin Bishop Electra photos on this site and on ebay. We used to listen to him on an 8 track tape Struten My Stuff. Do you have a Bishop model Electra and if so how does it play? I always wanted to play one but never got the chance.

i do have an eb... i think it plays very well... i am sure it is much more playable than i can play it... i am not much of a player, but several friends have tried it and they like it alot... compared to the other guitars in my collection (see link in my signature) it is top notch...

Leia -

You have probably been asked before, - but

If you should ever want to part with ANY of the Electras from your collection - please let me know.

Hope I didn't offend you by asking.

Thanks,
