I have what appears to me to be a champagne colored X-135. By the way, this thing is built like a tank, and HEAVY. The thing is, on the 60th anniversary plate on the back it says X-635C 0024. It also has a Kahler Flyer tremolo (covering the string through ferrules) and brass string lock covering the truss rod cover, probably not original. My understanding is the X-635 was a bass and I was thinking someone put the wrong plate on it, but did the X-635 bass come in champagne color which I thought the "C" in the serial number denoted? Any Ideas?

Thanks,

Bob

X-635C -

"C" for "Custom" or maybe "Champagne"?

Champagne/gold came on later Westone/electra Phoenixes, but can't explain this one.
Custom refinish?
