I have what I belive is Model X640N. I love this bass, It was my dads and now it is mine. The effects have never worked as far as I know. I don't know much about the technology. I am going rewire. Anyway all the original parts are still in it If anyone has any advise I would be thankful.

Before you re-wire it. Try a new battery and cleaning the contacts onthe modules, an eraser works fine.
