It's the fad that's sweeping the nation... another gutted MPC. Here's a fella that's got a bunch of stuff he's had ripped out of a X330:

http://cgi.ebay.com/Electra-Matsumoku-M ... 240%3A1318

Has two pickups, two batwing switches, five way rotary switch, MPC connectors, 2 modules and a set of Electra tuners thrown in.... $40 starting, $100 buy it now, which frankly the two modules could be worth that. Not my thing, but someone should snatch this up.

P.S. Good luck reinstalling that rotary switch, but hey, could be a nice lot.

Somebody ended the auction with BIN only an hour after I posted this. I hope they are successful reviving the electronics. Pickups and modules are worth more than $100 if they work. I was thinking of snatching it up and reselling everything separated, could have made a tidy profit... but there's more to life than money right?

Even had the brass bridge... maybe I should have bit on this one, I want to put a brass bridge on the X250. If someone here picked it up, tell me what you want for the Bridge. Yeah, somebody got a nice little lot there. Cheers, Mike.

I know I'm late in the game, but if you have those batwing switches, I'd be happy to take them off your hands!

Try this for your toggle switches,
http://www.radioshack.com/product/index ... Id=2062513

this is the switch that was discussed in another post.

Less than $4.00 each at Radio Shack (new).

Well, I guess we all ought to congratulate this gentleman - whoever he may be!

He has successfully converted a collectable worth a paltry $600-800 into something that is now easily worth about $200-300!

At least he had the deacency to turn the parts over to someone who may have an appreciation for what they are!

I wonder if Workingman was able to score them for the butchered MPC he is trying to resurrect?

I did not go for these as I already had MPC parts from a butchered (by others) Outlaw bass and pickups iIpicked up (pun intended) on e-bong a while ago. but thanks for the thoughts. A nice set of tuners (from a Matt era Vantage) just arrived in the mail, also an e-bong find. They are a direct fit so I am happy. Now I have to wait for spring so I can do the re-finish work.

Well, as stupid of a move as this was...
At least he got what he wanted..a boring, useless Les Paul.
I should have bought these, as one day I hope to wire an MPC into some
non-Electra, such as my Moridira Hurricane or some old Gibson I find in the trash.

Too bad, but whoever got these is probably a very happy person.

Renegade:
You say 200-300?
If you mean the guitar, I'd say he'd be lucky to get 100.
:P
Imagine the auction:
"Yeah, this was an Electra with those MP-whatevers, but I got rid of them as I wanted a Les Paul setup. This pro did it and I sold the parts because they got in the way. I may have destroyed any collector value from the effect thingymabob, but it lQQks like a Les Paul!
I mean, right?"

I guess there will always be that one brave soul-in other words Workingman-who will get it cheap and restore it.
Let's see, his Outlaw, the MPC (I forgot the model..hehe.), and soon he'll probably buy a tuner set and build a guitar around them.
