Hey guys I just found this forum and I think it's awesome!!! I have one of the sunburst X950's with a Phase Shifter and Overdrive modules with the original hard shell case. I have owned it for 16 years and have loved it. My wife loves it even more than I do. But I have come into some hard times and have started selling off my gear and have finally come to the Electra. I had a local guitar shop owner offer me 450 for it. I was just wondering if you thought this was a decent offer or if I should hold out to a true collector. It's in great condition and I hate to see it go but you gotta do what you gotta do. I appreciate the help.

I have not followed the prices on the X950 though I think others here have. Remeber a music store is going to sell it again with a markup so they think the local market is better than the $450 they offered. If you don't get any other information on pricing, you could always put it on e-bong with a $500 reserve and see how it goes. Either it meets the reserve or you take the music store up on the offer. Good luck and wish I had the bucks to take it off your hands.

So I am guessing that the X950's don't show up very often as I have watched for the past several months and not seen any....and I am guessing that since this dealer only offered me 450 that mine is worth a little more than that. If I sell this thing, I want it to go to someone who will really enjoy it not a shop. So if any of you guys are out there looking for one, shoot me an offer.

Great guitar! I can only go by ebay, and I have seen people ask a lot more for them but they didn't sell (at least that I have noticed). Given the market now is a bit depressed, and that a dealer offering $450 will have to make something if he is to sell it, I don't think that is a bad offer. If you are thinking of selling it be sure to list it in our sales section and take good pictures and put price on it (it is OK to put a price and negotiate - too high and no one will respond). What to put? Up to you. But I don't think the offer is that bad - especially for a dealer and cash money in the pocket.

If you don't sell it, you still have an EXCELLENT guitar. These should be worth a lot more, but they are only worth what you can get out of them :)

Good luck!
