Greetings to all here on the Electra Forums,

A little background, I used to play bass in a band 30 plus years trying to live the dream. We did okay for a bunch of teenagers from Wisconsin, made a record and then it all kind of faded away. I spent the next 20 + years of my life touring the world with the Army picked up an Electra MPC Outlaw X730 along the way in a literal hole in the wall music shop downtown Nurnberg, Germany to fill the void, but never got serious, and submitted to the fact that I was never going to be a lead guitarist.

Fast forward to 2008; I saw a Hamer 12 string bass for sale and picked it up trying to bring back the years of past, and that it did; I picked it up with an Ampeg 115 amp and have spent all my free time trying to get my fingers to bleed. I haven’t touched my Outlaw in a year, and figure it was best suited in the hands of an Electra fan and or collector. I don’t know much about the rarity of the Outlaw only what I have read here on the Electra sites. I have no idea what it is worth today or to ask for it and don’t want it to put it on eBay; I prefer it to stay in the Electra community. I could go on for days about it but most of you are familiar with the Electra story. Hear are couple links that can explain it in detail. The Color is Tobacco sunburst similar to the one seen here http://www.rivercityamps.com/electra/x730.php I don’t have the hard-shell case I have had it in a heavy padded gig all these years. Here is a catalog link for the original model X710 with detailed information http://www.rivercityamps.com/electra/c77.php MPC modules that came with mine are 1 phase shifter and 3 bass treble. It has one of the original Grover script tuner caps replaced with a blank when I purchased it, it plays great, it does have some wear scratches and such but for being a played guitar maybe 30 years old It’s darn fine. I don’t no what more I can say, if you have a true interest in it I will get some detailed general, or request specific photos of it. to you.

I have no price set, I have no idea what it is worth or to even ask for it. I am hoping that some of you here may have a better info on its true value, and I am willing to entertain all serious offers. If you have a true interest in it, I would ask you to please contact me via PM/email.

Very respectfully,
Nick

Just an update,

My Outlaw X730 Has a new owner "Mortarman120gang" the bottom line is it is staying in the Electra community and will be a great addition to his current Electra setting him up as a official collector...

I would also like to extend many thanks to all of you, for the wealth of knowledge here on the forum, and will visit frequently (who knows their may come a day when I stumble upon an Electra bass).

Again congrats to Mortarman120gang, as well as a huge thanks to all of you for the help and support through the years...

V/R,
Nick
