I am looking for an original humbucker pickup and the EQ board, or wiring diagram to rebuild my Electra X250W. Please let me know where I can find this information, or the replacement parts.

Here is a forum topic about the X250 I recently bought:

viewtopic.php?f=15&t=3911

Couple of pictures of the electronics with the control cover removed, pretty complicated looking, I'd be hard pressed to even trace the wiring or coming up with a schematic though. The controls are:

First Knob: Master Volume
2nd Knob: Master tone up to 5 with the active off, does nothing above 5
Treble boost/cut with active on
3rd Knob: Bass boost/cut with active on, does nothing when active off
4th Knob: Active Volume

1st Switch: Coil Tap
2nd Switch: Phase (on rear pickup)
3rd Switch: Active on/off

I like the powered circuit a lot, and pretty much keep it on all the time, leaving the 'normal' volume up and using the active volume to get anything from clean and bright to swamp overdrive.

There are MMK53's in mine, long running Mats. pickup, and you could certainly put a pair of MMK45's in, which can be found on eBay from time to time. Good luck finding a electra X250 power EQ circuit board... I would guess that they probably only made a couple hundred of these guitars and I've never been able to determine whether the X270 power EQ used the same board. You may be able to buy a boost circuit from a hot rod place and shoehorn it in there. Post some pics if you get the chance, welcome aboard, Mike.

Thanks for sending me the link unfortunately the pictures that you posted do not seem to be available any more. The x250w that I have is pretty messed up, but I have most all of the parts, and still want to try and restore it back to its original state. I will try and post some pictures of it when I get a chance.
