This one is a real beauty and it looks like almost mint condition too . I would hate to part with this one if she was mine. :bawl:

Does she belong to anyone we know?

Humorous that it is billed as "Electra's most high" version of a 335 style guitar; also the price is a bit steep for an X410 Jazz Strad 335 version;

IMHO I do believe that the X810 or the Elvin Bishop models would be more desirable and certainly bring higher prices, although this does seem to be in mint condition and would be a great axe to own;

It does need to be acquired by the right individual who will appreciate it.

I agree. It should end up with someone who will tend to it with care, but $1400. is way to steep for me. :toopid: It reads like it was copied from the model index of the 410 on this site. It is a clean and good looking guitar though. I like the binding and the grain of the wood. I've thought of getting one made like this because of the warmer tones and I just like the look of it.

It appears to have sold for $1160.00... worth every penny, IMHO.
On this '76, the necks are very narrow, but on my '77's I really can't tell if the neck is narrower than the Maple Pro, but they're both the same guitar, basically. Both celluloid bound. Both same neck/nut widths. Perhaps they decided to make the necks wider for Western hands after '76...?
The tort binding is a very nice touch. And it's my preferred jazz electric these days. The Strad has much better sustain than any 335 I've ever played. But the Maple Pro is still my "blues/rock baby".

They don't make them like this anymore, that's for sure. An L.A. luthier, Toru, really loves these guitars. As do the guys at Westwood music...

I don't think you could have one made like this for less than 3K these days...

If you've got one, keep it! IF you HAVE to sell it, don't give it away!

It's been relisted, so I guess the buyer flaked out (a common occurrence on ebay lately).

I'm surprised it went for so much.
It's pocket change by some other brands but must set some sort of record for an Electra.
