I already have 5 Electra Guitars three of them is in perfect contition & I dont want to make changes on them.
My Voulcan X930 have "changing switch" off & the pickups are not the best thing that I excpect.
I change the switch with a Gibson style & the pickups with EMG 81/85....
Now I like her better......

My X810 (from Ebay) have all the electrical off....
I change pick ups, I put Bare Knuckle stormy Mondays, I put a Gibson switch, Vol & Treble pots & I fix the indexes from the modules (thanks to forum I take the diagramms from here).
Now the guitar is better even my ES 335 !!!!

Nice work!

I don't blame you for the swap, the pickups of that period weren't always great. Try an MMK45 sometime, you may be pleasantly surprised (by the best pickup ever made).

Do keep the original pickups stored safely away for historical purposes, and it will preserve the guitar's value too.

Thanks for sharing!

Of course I keep the originals in safe place...
I search for MMK45.... If I'm lucky we will see. A photo of them may help me....
Next time I put some photos of my rest Electras
a) 2270C Blues Rock Semi Acoustic (Telecaster)
b) X155 Electra Phoenix Limited Anniversary Edition (H-H)
c) XV1RD Electric Ladyland (1983 Electra Lady guitar)???

Nice!

Your red guitar is a 2nd generation Dynasty, not a Lady. The Lady had a curved base.

And those are MMK45's in it! They show up on ebay fairly regularly. They have 'MMK45' stamped on the back.

Is that heel-less neck on the Vulcans like the APII PE's? I'm not a big fan of the shape, but boy, they look GOOD in that green-slime burst, eh!!
