A Black Electra Westone S-body Phoenix ? Serial #4060111. I picked it up very cheap tonight and cleaned it for like three hours and tightened all screws and pots/ toggle switch etc.. gave it the once over twice. I've been looking in the catalogs but the exact model eludes me. I do know this Guitar ROCKS..!! all Electrics work perfectly and it's in tonation and has new'er strings.. Stays in tune awesome even w/ using trem lightly.. What a Smoking Deal I got.. I'm not much of a S body player but I might have to Convert soon hehe. this has No locking Nut and has All three pull/push pots. H S H bolt neck. cost Me $40 and some gas. Unbelievable Player. Sounds Totally Awesome. Great tone-el Monster Axe.. Wow, what a peace of Maple.. Neck feels perfect. Over All this is a very serious Guitar, and the Deal of the Year... this thing even has Felt bushings under each alloy vol/tone knobs, and Aluminum cavity cover & some Hot Humbuckers.. haven't ohm'd them out yet but i'll guess somewhere between 10-12ohm. i'll find out soon. Man what a night.. Thanx in advance for any info obtained from you'all.. Cheers. S.A ps here's a few late night pic's..thx. Ah, right-o; what sort of bridge is it? The Electras had the 6 screw typoe with the Westones having Bendmaster gear, and that one on yours is neither!! Is it a Kahler...?

Looks nice, and you can't argue with it for only $40!

The deal of the year is still my $30 Workingman. Just saying.
:D

Nope I don't think its a Kahler.. maybe early style Bendmaster.. w/o locking nut. it doesn't have any holes either where one might have been. Either way it's a Keeper and a nice addition to my growing collection.. BeatenPhoenix.. that's an Awsome Score Also.. I couldn't pass 'em up at less then $50 bucks. My Last addition the SG Electra (pcm) 2259 was only $90+gas... Speaking of GAS i'm Gas'in for a Lefty Squier strat in Dark Green.. if you see any.. Thx. S.F Image kinda Blurry my Camera Sucks..

Have a decko at this, bro...

http://www.westone.info/spectrumgt.html

...is that what your bridge looks like? My Westone Spectrum GT is exactly like that, and my Electra Phoenix X195 has the 6 screw bridge...

http://s165.photobucket.com/albums/u66/ ... etwins.jpg

...if so, then you have some sort of hybrid. X189 may have some more info, eh; as much as I'd like more Electras, there just ain't any down this way!!! :(

Thank You.. that First one is It including Bridge... Except one detail.. My name on HS says Electra then Westone.. But That's the Bridge I have.. Exactly.. Nice... I tend to think Mine is a '84 Early '85 like yours but before they changed the Logo to Westone w/ the Big W first then followed by Electra. Also my serial # starts w /4)060111 denoting maybe '84 ? its a Really cool guitar and made in or about the same Year I graduated from HighSchool.. this would have made a Great Graduation Present..to Me 24+yrs ago.. Thx again for the Info and Kewl Pic's.. I like Twins.. I've got a set myself. Epiphone LP Double Cuts.. one Month apart. May&Apr '94 Samick Korea made for Epi..here's a pic or two of mine.. It's an X189.

The X185 had the vintage six-screw bridge, and the X189 upgraded it to the two-post Bendmaster FT. In 1984 it would have no fine tuners, which is a nice bridge! Yep, it's the stock bridge.

I'm going to have to start using that phrase.

Almost as good as "sometimes the problem is intermittent, sometimes it's not."
