I am selling this guitar (Auction #280343524606)...the guitar looks like a Pro Endorser but it has coil splitter switches vs push pulls....this guitar also has a step neck joint...The model number (x-210) is just above the serial number under the laquer....

This guitar (same model number-Auction # 170331190967) is an Omega...completely different guitar the model number is on a silver sticker....

Did the model change so much over the years that it doesnt even resemble the original in looks or function ????/

I believe the 'Omega' (X210 - Black X220 - Cherry Sunburst X230 - Natural X240 - Antique Sunburst) was a higher-ended LP shaped guitar back in the day compared to the 22xx bolt-neck series, what with the set neck and originally with the '5 way' selector switch and 'color' switches for each pickup. In the index section on this site:

There is a reference that in 1982 the guitar was retooled with the 1 and a half cutaway body, and losing the 5 way switch, described much like your black beauty. Who knows why they didn't just give it a new model number..?

I believe that there is more than one X120 also, which is the designation given to the Leslie West model, but I think that ended up being a Phoenix 'strat' style model also, so lots of confusing model numbers were tossed around back in the day. We'll probably never know the reasoning behind it.

I just looked, it's the X110 (Rock Strad) that shares a model with a X110 Phoenix... go figure. I always thought that the Rock Strad was interesting in that it is a really fancy appointed guitar (snazzy inlays, usually highly figured maple top) that was a Bolt-on neck guitar, curious...
