You know how some guitars have a message locked in them like a time capsule? THis one did, right out of 1971:

INNA GODDA DAVIDA BAYBEEE.... etc etc....

A few little fixes and who knows?
I wonder how the Pickups sound....
Keep us posted, maybe this is a gem waiting to happen.

Now that's a guitar I would like to have, being a fan of the Gibson Juniors and P90's. It's not a Junior copy though, the two pickup model similar to this one was called the Les Paul Special. Bob Marley is probably the most famous Special player, though a lot of people have used them, of course.

Lucky find. I'm extremely jealous of that one. Interesting that they cut contours into the back of the body. The Gibsons are slabs, no contours. It's pretty close otherwise. How many models did Electra make with wraparound bridge/tailpieces? That seems unusual too, but faithful to the 1950's and 60's Specials.

To get it go to http://www.matsumoku.org/guitars.html
click on forums, click on either window option, scoll down to the Aria page (not Pro II). The topic is "Aria double cut model".

Saw it. it's similar, but it's got some differences, being the bolt neck and back control cover shape.
