i have a x110 slm serial number l761448 that i cant get the fret buzz out of.are there any replacement necks available?

Well, there are two other options to keep the guitar's original neck.
Re-fret or de-fret, the de-fret of which can be done at home with moderate ease.

Yea, sounds like its time for the 100,000 mile tune up. The nut could just be worn down to far on the head stock not letting you get the strings high enough at the first fret. Truss rod may need a little twist. You can get all that stuff from Stewart Mcdonald. (stewmac.com) If you change the neck, you will have to set it all up anyway. I agree with BP, just tune what you got. They have free video flicks at the stewmac site that show you how to tune the neck with their tools and gages and you can get an idea what might be wrong and how to fix it. Give it a look, its free.

how do you de fret?

Well, before you do, what kind ofm usic do you play?
If it involves tapping, lots of it, you may want to keep it fretted, if not, there are different ways.

Are you sure you have the truss rod adjsuted correctly? Just had to ask...

If all else fails I probably have a replacement neck, but it might not be natural finish maple.

Odd, most Phoenix necks are great, the two I've heard of being warped were both X110's. THough I have a couple X110's that are fine, still... weird...

Model Confusion Alert: Is this the X110 'Rock Strad' (LP shaped) or the X110 Phoenix model? Both are bolt on. I would assume from the seven digit serial number with a letter at the beginning that it is a Rock Strad (from '76?) but I don't think it was specified anywhere in this thread...

If it is a Rock Strad, good luck finding a neck, those had very specific inlays and binding (if you were going for originality). Just the messenger here. Not sure of the scale length.
