The X910 (Rick Derringer Explorer) has been on everybodys mind lately! Lets all concentrate together... and one will surely appear!

Evidently not - offically no Rick Derringer X910 model;

He had a Gibson Futura as referenced here:

http://wronashouseofviolins.com/body_gibson_futura.html

Gibson Futura as pictured (on left) in Guitar Player magazine in December 1983:

From Ricks web site

Do a Search on "Electra" -

In the middle of the page -

In his own words - "This was NEVER a project authorized by me."

Apparently "Rick Derringer" style is mostly used as a point of reference for the X910 model by Electra files.

I saw a picture of a bassist with one, but forgot who it was, I'll get on that!

Although he should know I would doubt that an established company like SLM would use an artists name without permission. He may have had a falling out early on and wished to "forget" that he ever endorsed them.
