Hi guys/gals I've been a fan of these guitars for 25 years. Heres a pic of my almost worn out X2RD. Was my main guitar for about 20 years. Just got her out of retirement a few days ago.
Cheers.

That's a pretty nice looking guitar. Love the finish.

Now about the 5150II... what do you think of it? :D

Retired due to the bridge and tuners being worn out, along with several different guitars coming and going.

No spandex was ever worn while playing this guitar. :x

Thank you so much!

As far as the 5152 goes. LOVE IT  It's good for hard rock/metal and that's about it, but does it better than alot of high priced heads.

welcome here, man and whilst it's sad that the X2 is worn out, but by my way of thinking, that just means that it was used for its intended purpose!! Good on ya! Are you going to renew the bridge and tuners and fire it up again?

Well I strung it up as is, I thought of replacing the bridge but since I don't use the tremolo anyway, I left it alone(waaaayyyy to much mojo to mess with). A new set of Grovers and we're jammin again.
Man I love that guitar  It's one of my 14 guitars and I haven't touched any of the others since stringing it up again. The neck is incredible, tiny frets and all.

I bought it in '84 with money from my newspaper route. It's our silver anniversary. :hyper: :D

Ah nice. I'm probably gonna get a 6505+ 1x12 because that's all I have room for. It's better for the heavier stuff than the Classic 30 that my friend keeps pushing me to buy, and it's the same price as the Classic 30!

If I had the money, and the skill, I'd buy the Mesa Boogie Mark IIC+ that I saw on Ebay the other day. :hyper:

Also, are those EMGs I see...? :P That a Gibby LP or otherwise? Edwards? Tokai?

EMG 81 in bridge, moved bridge volume control to the top hole (just under bridge pup). And yup, thats an Edwards LP 112 CE.

I see. I've heard wonderful things about the Edwards Les Pauls. Too bad their Explorers are supposedly only good for firewood. Enjoy. :D
