I just won another Electra Auction. This guitar was sitting comfortably at about $550 and WAM, jumps up in the last minute

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... K:MEWNX:IT

Only one other bidder too. At least he's a real buyer with over 300 feedback.

And yes, I did get the Armstrong Lucite and yes, the same thing happen there. Today I got in another 2245 that is just beautiful, near mint condition. Just love those 45s!!

As a side bar, tomorrow I'm going to try and post up a pictorial of all the different headstocks I've got as a reference. I'll do that in "Discussion" in my Real Players topic.

So momentarily it appears there is a little upward pressure on the values of certain Electra models. I think that's a good thing for all us owners. Its a bad thing for us collectors.

This is my last Electra purchase until I find that absolute MINT guitar that can't be passed up and of course the 2254 that I've just got to find :hyper:

Yeah everybody seems to wait to the last stinking minute (literally) and snipes these days. The only thing worse than being 2nd highest bidder is paying too much for something, so I've always bid what I was comfortable with, and if I don't get it, ah well... that waiting until the last minute is just not for me.

I just got four modules from a guy in Hawaii for $160... Goooooooooal! I've seen the flanger alone go for more than that! Haven't got them yet, and don't want to jinx myself, but I've got two MPC guitars and only a couple of modules currently.

I'll stay out of your way if a X510 comes up, but I know there are other guys who want one of those babies. There was a nice Omega on eBay this week with a BIN of $350, It went in the first 3 hours, only 18 people had viewed it. I was itching to snag it, but just sat back and watched, I knew it wouldn't last long. You've got all those other lp's, you owe it to yourself to check out an Omega, sometime. Cheers, Mike.

and believe I got it for a very fair price $325

So did I follow the advice? Absolutely!

Thanks Mike!
