so... it looks to me that with this crowd, if you really want to see what's been listed on eBay fully, you need to view "completed items" (unless you have a saved search set-up....

seems lots of BINs getting snagged up within minute/hours of listing :)

I snagged another BIN. (last one was the x-310 mpc for $250 with hardcase (non-original) and 1 module...)
This time I got a Dan Armstrong Neck....
http://cgi.ebay.com/1970-ELECTRA-NECK-D ... 439b0ec016

It just arrived today. it still had the model number sticker on the back!
Model Number: 2246
Serial No: 145

Anyway, I'll start another thread about the model numbers....

mine does not have the original tuners, but does have the neck bolts... now to find a body for it (yeah right....)

I've got a picture of one with a Model Number 2255, Ser No: 72x (very hard to tell. 72 may be wrong too...)

Now what are you going to do with a loose neck man? It's got to be pretty unique as far as scale, bolt pattern and body pocket... Maybe you can turn that outlaw into a double neck!! (wink wink)

I'll keep it until I find a body for it... supposedly, the wider bolt spacing ones will fit the real Dan Armstrongs...
I don't mind if it takes years... I bought a couple of car wheels that were uber rare... been looking for 2 more of them for probably 5 years now :)

The neck I got is 24.75" scale, 42mm wide at the nut, 50 mm wide at the 12th fret, 55mm wide at 24th fret, and a flatter neck shape it seems...

and of all the earlier model electras I've had (most were basses), this one is of noticeably higher build quality...

If you have the tools you could always make a body. I always thought that a lucite "V" would be cool.

I intend to take a stab at making a body (from wood) for the neck I got from the Electrafest drawing. It will have to wait until spring as my workshop/garage is unheated.

That would be cool.
