I believe the auctions are rom the same person that I bought the empty shell from, but it's a different eBay name, but both from San Diego...

I just got my 150k ohm pots too! so if I can get the parts I need from the auctions, I'll be set.... just need the time to get it wired... 8)

well, the 150k pots aren't going to work for me. they are 3/8 hole mounts, and the outlaw uses the smaller hole mount, and I don't want to drill them out any larger... so going with 100k pots instead.... (I only have one original 150k pot)

:hyper: I got 'em all. pickguard, bridge/ingot, stop piece, pickups!

so now I won't have to test out my bad machining skills :)

He had the original bullseye grovers out there, but very pricey, and I already had a set of black grovers...
If my black bridge works on the ingot, I probably will use it too....

and the crescent Moon Tailpiece:

I think he's got a couple other parts too...

Uber Bonus Man! It's too bad that you had to buy it piece by piece, surely inflating the cost... but it looks like a clean example and its cool that it'll be mostly all back together again. Congrats!

Let's hope that this isn't a worsening trend in chopping up Electras.

Amen to that. Unfortunately, if prices continue to rise, I'm afraid we'll be seeing more of it.

Congrats on your scores, mcbrat! Can't wait to see her together again.

well, for the guitar and parts so far i'm in it for $330 which is still cheaper than I could have bought one together... granted it won't have the bullseye grovers, but it will have actual grovers.

and after watchin the recent module prices, I figure I did okay getting 3 modules in trade for my x-145.... compared to what it got for bids on eBay....

the aution stuff was delivered over the weekend... now to start putting it back together... I was still entertaining the idea of a different pickguard. In regards to the "gaudy" comment previously, I asked my wife, an said, not gaudy, but "girlie" :)
so last night I found pics of guitars with abalone pickguards, and others, and checked out some of the custom pg sites out there... was kinda leaning towards an aged white pearl pg, but decided that an Outlaw should be dressed in back, so original it stays....

Didn't mean to sway you one way or the other on the pickguard man... but I think the Black theme is cool, and hell you already bought the original one! You should trace it sometime as I think we're gonna see more and more chopped Electras, already a new batch of pickups on eBay currently. Mike.

No problem with the swaying... :) I need input sometimes :)
Pickguard Heaven already has a template for the 720 :)
http://pickguards.us/

the other pickups on eBay now I hink ar from the same guy I got mine from, but he has several other Electra MPCs, and has been rebuilding them. I think now, he's just selling off the extras... the wiring and trc from mine went to help revive a x-730, which I would have done too, as I like that color way better than the charcoal burst....

last night I installed the stop piece, and the ingot... the original bridge is kinda corroded and worn though... I have an aftermarket black roller bridge that fits the ingot, jut needs the post threads shortened, as was mentioned earlier... the string spacing is just a tad wider on the roller bridge (1mm each side maybe), but shouldn't be enough to matter....

I also glued on the original nut, and put on my tort trc... will get some "in-progress" pics this evening....

Gaudy? It's beautiful. Unfortunately, it's an Antonio Tsai guitar, so stay far far FAR away.
