Almost didn't recognize this one because of the LP pickguard on it, and the pictures are pretty bad, no full guitar shots. I contacted this seller to tell him that the pickguard was wrong, the pickups had been switched out and requested he take the funky huge covers off the back to show what was done to the guitar. He emailed me back saying that there was a bunch of foam inside one of the covers and never took any pictures. I would assume somebody routed it up trying to lighten the guitar, lame execution. He also didn't tell me if the push/pulls were still there or working.

December '82 build, I've seen two other December 1982 Endorsers, nothing earlier, this may be the first month of production as a trivia item. Also has the rarer 'thin flame' as opposed to the more common (almost) quilted Cherry Endorsers out there. Almost reasonable starting price, and the top looks pretty nice, but lots of mods leave me shaking my head. Thats my take on it.

I agree on this one. I spotted it also but did not post it due to those large covers on the back and the pups. I would not care to guess what was done to this one nor if it would ever be the same again so I passed on it.

The more I look at those covers, I wonder if they are factory or not. It is one of the earliest Cherry's, maybe Mat was trying to lighten them up or put some electronics back there..? I dunno. Wish I could see it up close.
