I got it in but there's a story to this....

Kinda of a funny story, which could have been tragic.

There are 2 street numbers that are virtually the same where I had the guitar shipped. The only difference is right address should have had North before the street number. My bad, for sure.

I'm out of town so I have the guitars shipped to buddy of mine who lives near me.

I waited the 2 days since we got the notice it was "Delivered: Porch" and called Larry (my buddy). He said he didn't see it and we both started to freak out. Larry, being the cool calm one said that he should go check the other 1711 *** and see if they got it. We jumped off the phone and sure enough, 10 minutes later Larry calls and has the package. It was delivered to the wrong address, those folks were out of town and it was sitting outside - FOR THREE FREAKIN' DAYS!!

We still haven't opened it wanting to give it three days to acclimatize and have our fingers crossed. During the period it was sitting on the "Porch" there was no snow, fortunately. The box was dry and no outside damage. It did get into the 20's at night however.

We'll open it tomorrow and let you all know if its okay. I expect it should be not having any real sudden changes of temps or humidity. Sure glad this ain't a hollow body!!!

Thanks to Dave for a great packing job and a very cool Electra!! I'm out town so pictures will have to wait.

Ouch, dude. You're lucky, both for winning the guitar and having it arrive safely after all that.

I had no idea that you had started a post about this guitar...I really hated to part with it , but Im just out of room and had to choose between a '78 Ibanez Korina IC300 or this Wedge.....the korina won...its a fine guitar even with the mods........
