Great group of Instruments there, especially like that sunburst acoustic and the pointy examples, but the Electras steal the show. You've got a real clean pair of MPC guitars and that X260n is perfect, I remember when that deal went down. Congrats, Mike.

8) I hope to be getting the Vantage 12 string(from Electrafest contest) back in a week or so. It had to have a truss rod repair which was way out of my repair abilities. She is in good hands with a great luthier and will be ready to play when I get her back. I will post the photos of her when I get her back. Thanks to all again for the feedback and comments on my modest collection. More to come I promise.

I really like the finish on that Alvarez acoustic, what year is it? Also, isn't there a story behind that Outlaw of yours? Nice group there.

The Alvarez acoustic/electric 760CSB is a 2008 model. I bought it new at a local music store. The sunburst quilt top is outstanding as well as the sound both acoustic and electric. It was manufactured by Alvarez(SLM) in Korea but the quality is as the electras and is outstanding. Excellent action and intonation.
Alas there is a story behind the outlaw. It is a 1978 model and is pristine shape as its one and only owner had taken very good care of it. I found her on Craigs List and contacted the owner. After talking I found out that we had much in common. We were both in the military(Army and USMC) and were both at the same base and same school for our initial training but in different classes. I never met him while at Ft Bliss Tx but we were both in Air Defense School. Turns out I went on to my USMC posting and he went to Germany in 1984. While in germany he found the electra in a local music shop and purchased it then. It had been sitting there I guess just waiting on the right player to come along and he was the lucky one. It has a unique blue sticker on the rear of the headstock with the german music stores name and info on it. To make a long story short he decided to part with it only to a good home and I was the next lucky owner that the outlaw picked. It plays great and I gave it to my son as his Eagle Scout reward when he made Eagle last year. He has since learned to play very well and plays it everyday and also is now in a band with his friends. It is funny to watch the reactions of all the younger ages(18-21) when they see and hear the outlaw for the first time. They are blown away by the awesome sounds of the super magnaflux pickups and then get blown off their feet when he kicks in the filter follower and phase shifter modules. I have many of the younger band members and friends that all want to play and check out my electra collection . It is good to see that they are appreciated and enjoyed for what they were made to do and that they spark the musical interest of the younger generation. One of the band members plays a PRS and he always marvels at the sound of the outllaw when my son plays the leads on watchtower or on godzilla etc and rocks out. I will have more to add when the others arrive and I get the Vantage back. Thanks to all for the comments and interest. I really hated to see SLM get bought out just for the trade names. Thanks Mortarman120gang11c aka Arthur W. Herin
