As you can see...not much to go on , but still trying to solve the question .
I've this thinline s.a. with only "Carioca" on the bass bout . It seems a lot as a German GIMA guitar , but some features doesn't add up :
the tuners are very peticular ( never seen before : black plastic axes !) , triple soundholes , and two bolted (yes bolts as in 'nuts & bolts' !) neck with white plastic push-on covers .
Inside the guitare WAS(hélas) a triangular tag : 5,5 cm or 2,2 inch approx.
Now my (simple ?-) question :
does someone among you can give me some clues how to check out where the bolts came from ? I know it's a tricky question but I think it's the best way to indicate where the guitar came from . As I can see : it's something like GVe 90 (an r can be a g/G in russian/hungarian etc...)
And on the top off the head a serial number appear ( something in Hungaria was common used...)
Also striking detail : always double dots
...but if anyone recognizes the guitar and know the brand/manufacturer : ...

Well I know a bit of Russian and find the bolt head to be a puzzle. The first letter looks a lot like the Russian equivalent of a "G". The third letter could be a Roman "B" or the Russian equivalent of a "V". The middle letter, which looks like a Roman "V", has no look alike in Russian. I think it is possibly Serbian, from the former Yugoslavia. It is fairly common there to mix Cyrillic and Roman Letters.

That's really quite pretty! What does it play/sound like?

Just to add to the mix, the word "Carioca" is Portugese.

since this guitar came from the "East"(Poland via via) I presume it's build also over there : Serbian could be a plausible explaination ...Russian seems to be out of the question , serial numbers on top of the head are more Hungarian or Slovenian like ..
...so the search continous I suppose !!!!
and she sounds rather good ...
