Yep I agree, I have one just like it and it cost me $50. This is the guy that purchased a nice looking 2275N strat from a Marine in N.C. The only problem it had was 1 of the single coil pickups needed to be re-wired and re-wound. He tried to sell it off at a bit of a high price and when it did not sell he parted it out 1 piece at a time and the pieces are now on auction for more than the original BIN for the entire guitar. Sad to see this happining more and more now as that was a nice guitar and example of that model and would have been worth the fix.

Yeah, that was a pretty nice 2275n he had at one time. I've blacklisted this seller (personally), there is no reason (save for greed...) to chop up an otherwise intact guitar. I should be over this irrational emotion after seeing it with vintage Fenders for the past 20 years, but it still kills me to see guitars chopped up. It is becoming harder and harder to find Fenders that haven't been monkeyed with, especially through auctions and on line, and even after decades, I wouldn't trust myself to be able to verify ones authenticity in person or otherwise, and if you choose to believe the wild claims of sellers, caveat emptor (let the buyer beware). Basically, this is a non issue for me as I can't afford a vintage Fender anymore, and as rationalized above, I don't trust their pedigree anymore, as well as finding that the 80's Charvels (and Electras) are usually as good playing instruments and have better electronics (no disrespect Leo, sorry). However, they will never be as good investments.

I was the winner of the $76 Treble/Bass expander a month back, and the reason I haven't posted a clip of it yet is that besides being particularly bright and harsh, I have yet to really come up any use for it (personally!). I think they should have called this module the 'Screaming Treble, Hidden Bass' to make a poor movie reference. Putting myself in the mindset (and available tools) of the 70's, this may have been a reasonable alternative to EQ boxes of the time (remember all the MXR EQ's back then), but it's not very versatile or 'tunable' so I've been letting it sink in, if I can't come up with a use, I'll probably put it on the block, at a lot less than $225... Mike.

It can be a confusing module to use.Most times I keep mine set to about the 4-5 range and use it as a volume boost for leads. That works OK. Other uses I have tried are if the setting is 0-1 you can almost use it as an octave box or Bass but other than that it is somewhat limited and does tend to scream a bit at high volumes. It is neat for what is is a simple piece of 1970's technology. My favorite MPC module thus far is the Phaser followed by the Filter follower. I hope to get my Power Overdrives out to thorny soon to get the mods done on them. Happy New Year to All.

I use my treb/bass expander to dail in the different selections on the mpc switch. If the #1 thru #3 selections have to much bass for the song I dail up the treb. If #4 &#5 have to much treb I dail in more bass. My MPC does not have Magnaflux pick ups. I have also used it running thru a digitech rp1 pedal board to bump up or down some of the settings. It does work good with the phase, even with the color switched on. It does make a good rythm/lead switch.
