 Post subject: Power Overdrive guts.

I found a plastic box overdrive that was not potted. Check out how few components are in the circuit. Also notice the locations for addition components that are not present. The same PC board is used for another module, Treble Bass Expander I think.

Whoa, seven whole components? I've got two of these, an older waxed one, which weighs a bit, and the newer one which weighs like an once, now I know why. I like the Dynamic Fuzz better than the Power Overdrive personally. Thanks for taking the time to photograph and share, Mike.

I don't think they solid potted ones are any more sturdy from a reliability point, but they certainly are "solid." At least the plastic box versions can be repaired in some cases.
