Yeah I saw that last night. I live in Oshkosh which is about 15 miles away or so. Just curious how did you find that listing? Is there a way to search CL for the entire nation?

I use Craiglook a lot. There's others out there too. Google 'craigslist search' and there's quite a few to chose from.

I use allofcraigs.com which allows you to search by past month, week or day, thing is if you search for 'electra' you get everything from Buicks to Carmen to Harleys, so you have to add Guitar or the Model. Also the pictures are usually small and blurry on CL, so ask lots of questions.

There are a lot of flakey people on Craigs who aren't that savvy, so usually they don't have Paypal accounts, don't necessarily know how to ship or potentially get mad when you tell them that you're not local! That X510 down in Florida was a good example, a model I was interested in, but once I contacted them it was like I was talking to somebody from Bugtussle (obscure Beverly Hillbillies reference). Didn't have paypal and wouldn't accept a US postal Money Order(?), and every time I talked with them the price went up... so I gave up.

I've snagged four guitars off of CL, Ray the weathered Maple Pro, a one owner X130na, the X120 Leslie West MPC and the X250 Powered Invicta (what a guitar!). In each case I sealed the deal by offering more than their asking price and was generous with shipping (gotta do what cha gotta do). Somewhat slower than eBay because I had to buy and mail a Money Order, but there are some jewels to be had and generally less competition than eBay, but beware of the Flakes, Mike.
