This one is a real beauty and goes well with the X410 Jazz. This is a 1976 X110 Rock Strad LP with original case. It has a few nicks and dents and the bridge pickup was replaced with a S Duncan with push/pull coil tap which added a great tonal variation to this one. It looks and plays great.

Anniversary model 935 in Trans Black
X110 Rock Strad LP Style
Johnson 335 style Grooveyard

Alvarez Acoustic Electric(quilted sunburst)
Series 10 Explorer copy

No big name guitars in my collection as I can't afford them. The Electra models are my favorite to collect. The other ones were just nice finds that I liked.

I've been looking for a Rock Strad...I think they're a gorgeous piece of work. Never held one though, never even seen one in person. Good going, nice pics.

8) I was lucky enough to find a good one and fortunate enough after many moons of negotiations to pursuade the owner to part with it. It plays and sounds awesome. Full rich tones and nice low action. The binding and trim are first rate. The gold hardware as with any gold has a nice old faded look. Thanks

Nice score and nice collection!

I have a Vester Maniac (another SLM dist. brand), which is literally identical to the Series 10 super strat copies, and I love the thing.

I didn't know it at the time when I picked up my earlier SLM guitars that they all came from SLM, but they really had it right with the quality/price mark in the states didn't they?

SLM made high quality low to mid range priced instrument that gave the average working musician the opportunity to have and play a nice instrument and not be bankrupt doing it. SLM was right on target for certain. I have an Alvarez and the quality shines through in it also. It was sad that they were bought out just for the name and distribution. :bawl: :bawl: :bawl:

This brings back memories -

My first Electra around 1976 or so was an X110 Rock Strad;

I should have kept it - but I traded in on my X340.

I should have bought the X340 without any trade in.

You have a really nice X340. The X110 is a bit elusive to find and even harder to talk someone out of it. i was extreamly fortunate to score this one with it's OHSC also and extra pickguard. Believe it or not the former owner wanted to get a Gibson LP and that is why he gave this one up. The Duncan pup w push/pull coil tap really gives this one awesome tonal versatility along with the other original pup. I love it and everything else is still original including the wiring and pots with the exception of the push pull pot.

Excellent Additions to your great collection Man! The Dynasty looks uber clean, welcome to the Endorser club with that early example, and the X110 is off the charts cool. A truly great cross-section of the Electra line, if you ever nab the X510 Concert pro and X910 Explorer, you will achieve Knighthood in the Hallowed Book of Electra Lore! It is staggering to consider the many, many models Electra churned out in the short time they were out, and I especially like the original body styles as you know. I'm jealous, Salute Mike.
